One Of The Many, One Of The Few

The Future

Sometimes I wonder why it’s gotta be. But I tell myself to stop wondering, and just keep on living life and hopefully life will plan itself out.

Soreness

I woke up today with my chest and arms being sore-er than ever. I guess that’s what I get for not lifting in 9 months. Soreness is an interesting thing, though. It’s like someone brutally violated and destructed your body while you were sleeping and you had no clue. It’s amazing. That’s exactly how I like to think of it.

And may this soreness continue to torture me…

Just For The Hell Of It…

I really want to watch How I Met Your Mother right now, so I’m going to make this extremely quick….

Today was a good day. I went to the gym for the first time in 9 months. I am going to be sore tomorrow. I am doing nothing tomorrow. Simple sentences FTW!

It’s short. I told you. And no, that’s not what she said.

Goodnight!

E3 Winners and Losers

E3 kicked off yesterday with Microsoft presenting what they’ve been working on over the past year. And today, day 2 of E3, Nintendo and Sony responded. So who were exactly the winners and losers of this year’s show? Let’s see…

Winners:

Nintendo - Zelda + Kirby + 3DS + REMAKES FOR 3DS?!?!? = PROFIT. Enough said.

Sony - Their presentations of showing games instead of concepts made the difference between them and Microsoft. And finally a new Twisted Metal!? Praise David Jaffe!!!! 2011 will be the year of 3D. Not totally sold on it, however.

Losers:

Microsoft - Started off strong with Metal Gear Rising and Call of Duty: Black Ops. But again, they should have done what Sony did. More games, and less presentation of concept.

I know this is very brief but I really don’t like posting long blogs. I like them to be brief and concise. I feel like long posts are too hard for the eyes.

Happy Tuesday!

What Makes a Geek?

I am a geek and I have no shame in admitting it. I love being a geek. We have it easy in this world. But sometimes, I often find it offensive when someone considers themselves a geek when they only consider one of the attributes of being a geek. So what exactly classifies a geek?

  • Owns a 360/PS3/Wii
  • Has a recent released smartphone.
  • Consistently follows the technological/gaming culture.
  • Plays(ed) WoW
  • Owns a handheld gaming console

I’m sure there’s a lot more characteristics of a geek, but those are some major ones. And just for an FYI, I meet all those requisites, and I’m damn proud. Actually, I might just go as far as considering myself as a hardcore geek. But that’s a little too far, right? No? Alright, I’m a damn proud hardcore geek!

Geeks FTW

Geeks FTW!

Television is GOOD.

Ever since my back injury, which was in Janurary, I started watching a lot of television. I began browsing through many of the hit series that I “never” had the time for. You could have called me a casual - rebel TV viewer before. I would rarely watch any of the shows that everyone else was watching, but still watched the regular showings of Sportscenter. That’s actually all I watched, mixed in with a few episodes of Friends/Family Guy. However, it’s a different story today. Since the begining of the year, I went from watching 1 show to 6. Yes, I know. That’s a lot of time. Here is the list of the 6 I watch(ed).

  • Lost
  • Chuck
  • White Collar
  • South Park
  • Friday Night Lights
  • How I Met Your Mother

I wouldn’t necessarily consider the time I spent with these shows as wasted, as many of you would think. You have to consider how I made time to watch these shows and the circumstances I was at, at the time. Those circumstances I won’t discuss, though.

I find watching television a great consumption of time. I wouldn’t have said that before. But I realized that there is some good television out there. And if you find the appropriate shows to watch, you’re time will be well spent.
